Wednesday’s announcement about ticket bundles shows how a successfully run club can work with its Supporters’ Trust to ensure that fans get their voices heard at the most senior levels.
When the original ticket pricing announcement was made, the Trust was contacted by its members, and also other supporters, who raised their concerns about the upper levels of the pricing structure. We spoke with Angus Kinnear several times about these concerns, most recently before the Port Vale game, but more importantly he was willing to listen to some of the innovative solutions that Trust members had come up with. The first result of this is the Burton and Birmingham ticket bundle.
Dave Carrington, Chair of the Leeds United Supporters’ Trust, says
“The club’s response to fans’ concerns about the high cost of tickets shows the importance they place on our role with the club. We look forward to continuing this partnership with Angus as the season continues.”
